1ST INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ECONOMICS AND SOCIAL SCIENCES

Challenges and Trends in Economic and Social Sciences Research

Conference Objectives:

The conference provides an opportunity for all those interested in Economics and Social Sciences to discuss their research and to exchange ideas. We welcome both empirical and theoretical work that is broadly consistent with the conference’s general theme. In particular, we invite researchers to submit papers on the following specific tracks:

  • The Food Safety in the Context of Globalization
  • Current Research Opportunities in Finance, Business and Financial Reporting
  • Modern Approaches in Public and Private Organizations Management
  • Education 4.0: Innovative Systems and Technologies
  • Sustainable Business Models in the Context of Internationalization
  • Contemporary Business – between Sustainability and Waste
  • Sustainable Marketing
  • 100 Years of Economic Education and Research – Anniversary Workshop

Paper Submission:

Only full papers may be submitted. Papers must be written in English and not exceed 10 pages (appendices included). Authors must follow the paper template requirements. The submitted papers are subject to a blind peer-review process. Only original, unpublished manuscripts are accepted for oral presentation. Accepted papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings, which is planned to be indexed in the Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index (CPCI). CPCI is accessible via Web of Science, Core Collection.  

The deadline for paper submission is: March 2, 2018.

Authors of the accepted papers will be notified upon no later than: March 16, 2018.

Fee Payment:

  • Early Bird Registration fee (no later than March 20, 2018):
    • 65 EUR/paper - young researchers
    • 100 EUR/paper - all other researchers 
  • Normal Registration fee (no later than April 1, 2018):
    • 90 EUR/paper - young researchers
    • 140 EUR/paper - all other researchers.

The conference fee covers the admission to all tracks, conference materials and information package, coffee breaks, meals and publication of the paper. Participants are expected to cover the travel and accommodation costs!

Submission Guidelines

 

Manuscript Submission Procedures

Authors are invited to submit original research papers, case studies, reviews, work in progress reports, abstracts, student’s papers or research proposals within the broad scope of the Journal.


The following guidelines must be adhered to when submitting the papers: 
No manuscript will be accepted without the Required Format. All manuscripts should be professionally proofread before the submission 

  1.  Introduction
  1. Manuscript should be written in English and should be submitted to the Editor-in-chief electronically through the online system as e-mail attachment to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
  2. If electronic media is not available, the original paper may be submitted on standard CD to the Editor by using full postal address which is, The Academy of Business & Retail Management, Talbot House, 204-226 Imperial Drive, Rayners Lane, Harrow, Middlesex, HA2 7HH, United Kingdom. 
  3. Manuscripts are to be submitted as MS Word documents for Windows. Other formats will not be accepted.

The 2ND INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ECONOMICS AND SOCIAL SCIENCES, Collaborative Research for Excellence in Economics and Social Sciences – ICESS 2019 will implement a blind peer-review process.

The fair and timely review process done by the reviewers is the key factor for the selection of high quality papers for presentation and publication. We greatly appreciate reviewers for their contribution to the success of the conference.

Applications to join the Scientific Committee are invited from academics, experts and specialists in the fields of Economics and Social Sciences covering the research topics of the conference.

Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers

When reviewing a paper considered for oral presentation and publication, reviewers must take into consideration the following ethical standards:
1. Papers will be reviewed based on their intellectual merit and contribution to the aims and scope of the conference, as well as on the criteria presented in the review process. The reviewers should adhere to standards of fairness, integrity, and objectivity. Kindly note that personal criticism is unacceptable.
2. Reviewers who feel that their review comments might be biased and/or unqualified regarding a particular submitted paper to the conference should notify the Organizing Committee immediately and excuse themselves from the review process.
3. Reviewers should be clear in their review comments and provide proper explanations and arguments for their decisions. If there is any suspicion about the originality of the paper, reviewers are expected to notify the Organizing Committee immediately, with the appropriate arguments.
4. During the review process, reviewers will keep in mind at all times that the paper and related materials are confidential.
5. Reviewers warrant that they will not use the papers and related materials submitted to the conference for any other purpose than the blind peer-review process.
